Overview
YJ Price ("we", "the app") provides indicative gold, silver and currency rate information for India. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled. YJ Price does not require you to create an account to use its features.
Information We Collect
- No account data. We do not collect names, emails, or passwords, because there is no sign-up.
- On-device data. Preferences such as your selected city, language, theme, price alerts, portfolio entries and streak are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and are not sent to us.
- Location (optional). The "Nearby Shops" feature can request your device location to find jewellers near you. This is used only for that search and is never stored on our servers.
Third-Party Services
To provide functionality the app may contact third-party services, including OpenStreetMap / Nominatim (map and shop search) and public rate data sources. These providers may receive your IP address and request details as part of a standard network request. Please review their respective privacy policies.
Cookies & Analytics
The app uses local browser storage to remember your settings. We do not sell your data. Any analytics, if enabled, are used only to understand aggregate app usage.
Advertising
The app may display advertising space. Any ad networks integrated in the published version may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads. Where required, you will be asked for consent, and you can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings. No ad partner receives account data because the app has no accounts.
Data Retention & Deletion
Because settings are stored on your device, you can remove them at any time by clearing your browser storage or uninstalling the app. To request deletion of any data, email us at the address below.
Children's Privacy
YJ Price is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
